Job Description
The Dishwasher is responsible for performing various kitchen cleaning and storage activities such as but not limited to dish washing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, storage and rotation of food and supplies. Responsible for janitorial duties in various dining services areas such as Dining Room and other areas associated as a Dining Activity. Responsible for handling all foods, storage and cleaning activities in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and complies with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures regarding food storage, cleaning and preparation.

Must have working knowledge of all equipment in the dish area

Must comply with all kitchen operational procedures, as well as the ones outlined by the Health Department

Must sort, rinse and wash all dirty glasses, dishes and silverware

Proper drying and stacking of all plates, as well as restocking the line properly

Proper handwashing and drying of all pots and pans

Responsible for cleanliness of all floors in the kitchen and removal of all trash
Requirements

Ability to handle multiple priorities

Ability to stand for long period of time, lift 50 lbs., and bend, climb or work in confined spaces with extreme temperatures and noise

Possess written and verbal skills in English for effective communication
